Yesterday, I was walking home from work when I ran into one of my former elementary school students who just started middle school.  I asked her how she liked her new school and middle school life.  She said everything was good except that there were a lot of 날라리.  I asked her what exactly that meant and she said that there are a lot of girls who have major attitude, wear a lot of make up, short skirts, and dye their hair off colors.

I’ve asked my Korean friends to get the basic idea.  Basically, 날라리 are juvenile delinquents.  They are rebellious teenagers who go against the rules.  They use a lot of curse words, skip school,  smoke, and drink.  The guy 날라리 wear skinny pants and tend to have long hair.
